A guy I know had the above happen and is on going, and FYI for the Monkeys something to think about before purchseing a rifle in the above Model and caliber from magnum reseaerch. Your Mileage may very.
Sounds like it's firing out of battery. Can be ugly, even for a blow-back rimfire! And MRI has crappy customer support. They have lost me as a potential customer.
Wonder if he was shooting the recalled Remington .17 HRM. http://www.remington.com/pages/news-and-resources/safety-center/safety-warning-recall-notice.aspx Remington even recalled their 597's in the same caliber. Just putting this out there too.
A similar bad experience happened to us at Sears. (Been dying to find a thread to tell this story!) We bought a 3D Samsung 55" HDTV from Sears on Black Friday. Got it home, it wouldn't hook up to internet, took it back, got a replacement, same thing. After months of calls to Samsung, hours and hours of "phone support" that didn't do a darn thing as far as support goes, visits from Samsung tech, calls to Sears, visits from Sears techs, replacement of multiple boards, Sears finally offered to take the tv back and only give us a store credit for the price we paid. We're pretty sure the local store got a cash refund from Samsung, but was determined to hold on to it. We put it on the Sears CC to take advantage of the 0% interest and it was barely half paid off when they made this offer. I finally figured out how to fix it, but Sweetie's still steamed and thinks we outta get an extension on our warranty since we didn't have full use of all the advertised features for almost 7 months. Something like this is not only frustrating and makes you mad as hell, but it also makes you feel like you're being held hostage by a company that you know has screwed you once and is just waiting for the chance to do it again. Spread the word about the company, spread the word about the company, spread the word about the company!! There are tons of sites that will let you publish an honest expression of your experience that have a whole bunch of viewers. One of them is Rip Off Report aka BadBusinessBureau dot com. Kajun
Reminds me of the range at Rancho Cordova, CA that had a notice on the door.. (quote) "We do rent the Desert Eagle 44 magnum, but it has broken 11 times so far "..
A fellow I worked with had a 9mm version of the baby eagle, that thing was a POS, It kept jamming, several times during a mag even with different types of ammo. I will never by one!!!
Isn't this same bunch of weiners that bad mouthed ammoman.com yet, could not verify the complaint. Also, could not tell the difference between "ammoman.com" and "the ammoman". Talk about your caseless weiners. This is worse than old women gossiping over the back fence (yes, I am that old to remember). If you testosterone challenged types cannot add to the conversation, then being quiet would be nice.
Jeez, do I have to lead you by the hand? Maybe that is why I am a Seargent and you are not. Man, I love Scotch. Try checking out some of the other posts.....Jeez!
