What's scarier than being a tickle buddy for Ed Gein? The candidates on show are the "best of the best". This is the pool of people we have to choose from. Dems and Reps are on parade and the choice is like deciding whether to throw lemon juice or salt into an open wound.

 

Seems like our political process in now math like I was taught in grade school. In this fractured world, we use the old fraction solution, and find the lowest common denominator. We thus end up with people running that are stupider, wilder, crazier, etc than any of the voters. Makes perfect sense.
