Water wheel, using a bicycle wheel and other odds and ends...its pumping capacity is fairly modest, but it pumps 24/7 for as long as there is water flow. The contraption is vulnerable to flask flooding, but if one were to build a weir and divert some of the water down a flume where the machine is out of reach of flood water, that could work....also the machines could be installed in series to up the water harvesting capability.
