Garden Nazi - NO garden for YOU!

the reason why front yard gardens are banned is because of "him/her" - it never fails that some dunbazz thinks that a vine growing out of their old toilet is "cute" - or they knock together some fencing out of old pallets or orange plastic construction fence - or there's soon a regular mud slick running out of the garden across the sidewalk into the street gutter - can't forget the corn patch - every front yard needs one ...

It doesn't matter whether a garden is a vegetable garden, or an ornamental garden, a garden usually needs some maintenance if an owner doesn't want it to look like an unkempt jungle.

Annuals (vegetable and ornamental) usually need to be grubbed out after their growing season has ended, and even perennials usually need some pruning and deadheading. Weeding is usually required, regardless.

With a careful selection of plantings...unorthodox edible plants can be disguised among the ornamentals...at the very least chop and drop ornamentals can be grown as mulch for the legit vege patch well hidden in the backyard or as fodder for the compost bin. Either way the ornamentals will attract bees and other pollinators to fèrtilise the edibles.

 

and that's why the gardening laws, rules & bylaws include maintenance clauses - people need to be forced into cutting their lawns - go thru any subdivision and you see the problems - usually bank owned properties - they push the limits until the $$$$$ fines start - soooo bad these days that homeowners neighbors cut it to maintain any quality of life around their homes ....

 

you might not like some particular law that restricts you from something - but it cuts both ways - whatever your activity that is deemed unlawful - there's dozens that are protecting your property value from people that have no fucking common sense & even less intent to maintain their property value - get some home based biz or even worse a nutcaze hoarder idiot running loose around your area and then try to sell for market value .....
