came across some for sale with circle (not oval) eyes and zero attachment holes on the sides...the sides are completely smooth....nato (I think) filter screws into the front where your nose would be and there is a cap underneath that that comes off but the recessed area that the cap covers seems completely solid inside and the cap has 16 holes around the outside of it....only marks I see are at the top on one side there is an M and on the other side is wheat looks like an S merged with and upside down M inside a triangle....any help would be great...again, the two holes are direct up front and center and there are no other characteristics....they are for sale from a fellas widow and she doesn't have any idea what they are exactly.....these are new unissued and black
Don't know about the markings, but the visual description sounds like the Israeli CDF masks that flooded the market in the 90s sometime. Maybe someone with a similar mask will be around soon with more information.
I have to concur with hispeedal2, they sound like Israeli CDF masks. They were good masks at the time but I'm not sure how they would compare to todays masks. I have been looking into getting a couple myself.
