OK --Canada is producing oil and exporting why are your prices so high? How much tax (on gas) is is your socialist government collecting from it's subjects?

Lots and Canada is pretty screwed up.
We have 2 small refiners , most is piped to USA , Rail is being to be voted out . We had a town burn down from a rail car derailment ..
Canada feeds USA with Power and fuel .
Bumdum stopped the pipe line ,, so if we pull the rail and then the plug ,, you will need your coal .

Bidumb has coal on the chopping block as well. This is the most insane administration of my 71 years on this planet. There is nothing in his green new deal developed that will take the place of fossil fuels here and now. Guess we will have to go back to using whale oil for light --oh crap they are protected. We will all be sitting in the dark before you know it

Nah, just add nuclear power plants. Carbon free, works if the sun don't shine and the wind don't blow.
    Just watch.

I remember back in the OPEC money grab a guy put some sort of wood gas generator in the back of a pickup and ran his truck on it. May have been in Mother Earth mags. We used to get many many years ago before they went totally yuppie left wing.

Correct me if I am wrong but the only nuc plant being built is in GA. The one that was being built here in SC shut down due to cost overruns and corruption -- we the consumers in SC got stuck with the bill. Nuc accounts for 20% generating capacity and many are coming to the end of their life expectancy. I'm not holding my breath for nuc plants being built. We are screwed.

    That's the plan.

The anti nuke left and nimbys won't allow it.

If we have no energy we are easier to control by people that do have energy.

Oh they will if they want their electric cars.
If we pull nuke power out of the grid .. we are screwed.
We don't add nuke power to the grid .. we are screwed.

Nuclear power provides somewhere in the 15-20 percent of power in the US.
I'd hazard a guess that it's probably something like half of the non carbon based energy right now.

So, if they want non carbon based and always available electricity ... this is it.

France has had nuclear power for years and supplies 70% of the countries electric power. Can't seem to recall any nuclear disasters in France. If the French can do it what the hell is our problem. Our nuclear Navy has been going on for years no problems

Well, that ain't exactly true. Nothing recent, but there have been some incidents involving both subs, surface ships and land installations. All the same, nuclear is a good substitute for anthracite when it comes to clean. Cross your fingers that the problems with fusion are solved; nothing will beat that in the long haul pending some new discoveries.

They are more scared of nuclear than anything global warming related. Tells you which one they really believe in.
