Ah yes, the days of wooden ships and iron men 7 years before the mast and damn little grog ---. And yes, strange as it may seem, we did deliberately sink a perfectly good floating ship. That was not the hard part, it took real planning to get back up on the surface. There are some mistakes best not made for that evolution.
