With 580 horsepower and 556 lb-ft of torque, the a supercharged 6.2L LSA engine in the Camaro ZL1 convertible packs more horses than a lot of big-name 2+2 convertible competitors, as GM was quick to point out in its press release for the vehicle. Among the high-profile drop-tops bested in the hosepower and torque categories by the ZL1 convertible: 2012 Aston Martin DB9 Volante – 470 horsepower / 443 lb-ft. 2012 Mercedes SL63 AMG – 518 horsepower / 465 lb-ft. 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S – 530 horsepower / 516 lb-ft. 2011 Ford Shelby GT500 – 550 horsepower / 510 lb-ft.
Meeh. It is completely computer dependent, and programed by the clowns at Government Motors. I'd take one if they were free, I could probably find a person that would trade it for their 70 series government model 1911. . . . . Maybe.
The new Camaro is okay, in itself. I do wish they'd have taken the example of Ford and Dodge and done a repop of the old classic. Just another pretty car.......
Ford is the only one who stood on their own. Edit: I've owned GM or Dodge for years so that was painful.
