    Hello everyone,

    I have been watching this web site for almost four years and it has become a trusted source of survival information for me. I never bothered to register, well it's better late then never!
    I was born and raised in the Soviet Russia, then USSR, lived in many other countries later, now live in Netherlands. My survival experience is quite limited -- mostly backpacking and motorcycle trips which I really enjoy. I'm looking forward to learning from you fellow monkeys!

    Four years of lurking? Goodness, I am glad you finally joined the clan. Welcome to the monkey. I am sure you have lots of information to share. Aren't the Netherlands heavy in solar and wind energy?

    @Motomom34 thanks! Solar+wind in Holland is now contributing to 10% of the total produced energy and it's growing fast (so are the energy bills).

    @mcigor Welcome aboard! Where in the Netherlands do you live? I lived there for 6 years when I was young in a little village called Hoek Van Holland, right on the coast. I loved it! I have always credited the Dutch experience with changing me into what I am today.

    So, welcome! How long have you lived in the Netherlands? Where do you live in the Netherlands? What are your interests?
