1. We are sorrowed to report that one of the Founding Members has passed on. Dee (Righthand) is well remembered as contributing much to the operation of SurvivalMonkey, and is already greatly missed. Little lady, big person.

Greetings to one and all.

    Hello my name is Tony

I originally hail from the NW of the UK., (Lancashire), but due to spending most of my youth (10 years) in the British army and being stationed in Germany for most of that time, I decided to stay here in Bavaria once it was time to move on, due to the laws regarding firearms in the UK.

    married, we have two son's (8 & 10).
    a hunter.
    a shooter.
a non smoker (as of 3-4 months).
40+ years old (yeah over the hill club).

That will have to suffice for the time being, we'll get to know each other in the course of our interaction here on the forum.

    Take care.

Well, I'll go ahead and ask for everyone's sake:
Why Bavaria and not the good ol' U.S. of A.?

Welcome to the Monkey, no matter the answer!

Thank you all for the welcome, some of you I feel I know due to having lurked for a few weeks before registering.

Why Bavaria? I love the mountains, lots of mountains, really good beer, not like some of the stuff our brethren from the 3rd 11th ACR served us at their place (Bad Hersfeld), back in the late eighties. I had a support base here, something that I wouldn't have had if I had gone to the US, which I may add was always my intention, after they ruined our gun laws. I once met anther British bloke who had taken the plunge with a mate. They were both Royal Military Policemen, and stayed in a LEO role once they went to the US., one was killed as a probationary officer and the other quit, and returned to the UK., re-enlisted as a RMP again, which is when I met him, and heard his tale.

I use the same nickname all over the web, feel free to Google me, and read some of my stuff, apart from that I don't really have much to say at the moment, however I would like to post some picture's of my 2 AR15's and other gun's.

Good for you, I wish that I could do that sort of stuff again. I refuse point blank to put it on the line for England, IMO. Any country that disarms its people, just isn't worth fighting for, have a think about that one, takes the weapons off law abiding citizens, then expects them to go into harms way carrying gun's.

I joined the Army as a Junior Leader (Royal Armoured Corps), at the tender age of 16. Back then in 1982, England was a land worthy of my service and eventually the ultimate sacrifice, were did it all go wrong? Chuffed if I know.
