Guerrilla Gardens

Excellent post @tacmotusn. Guerrilla gardening is something I have been interested in and have learned that elk will not bother onions.

 

In years past critters invaded and ate every thing before I got any .
Untill the is last 2 years, I've been growing onion and they don't seem to like that and seem to be leaving things alone for now.

 

I could be wrong but I thought guerilla gardening was about planting gardens and flowers etc on land you don't own. specifically government owned land.

So of you are after growing food where ever you can get away with it cello and tac both had great posts.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like you want to garden with see propagating a species that are local to your area. this guy dies that. He calls it land race gardening but what he does is makes sure he has the hardiest varieties for his area
