It was an excellent day. I saw 3 groups of deer on my way out the driveway (1.2 miles) and another pair on my way back in. The constant scattered rain storms must have disturbed their normal feeding times. 16 deer total, 5 of which were bucks. Seems like it will be a banner year for putting up venison. The steak was pretty good, but fresh killed venison liver and onions smothered in gravy with mashed potatoes would have been better. Keep in mind I have been seriously watching portion control and have lost 15 pounds in the last 3 months. I have both an excellent doctor and gorgeous nurse urging me to drop weight and live longer. What will be will be. Again, thanks all !!!
A belated Happy Birthday old phart, errr, old salt. Been down to Port Aransas for a few days(yeah I know it's just a gulf and don't count) but the breakers were coming in at 2-3 foot so I'll take it. Hope you get many more.
