Ester, the goddess of rebirth and spring. Rabbits, a symbol of fertility and rebirth. Treasure eggs; the symbolism continues. I kind of loose it at the chocolate bunnies though? It trips me out that such blatant paganism is tied into the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. I am not a christian but I am a very devout believer in God and if the resurrection is in-fact so, then Easter baskets must be one touchy topic between the holy trinity? I truly hope God has a sense of humor.
