Behold the shovel AK. It is truly a monument to soviet engineering: DIY: Shovel AK - photo tsunami warning!
Register what? The boat sunk in a storm, and they were lucky to survive with their lives. It was lost with the boat and everything else aboard it.
And you can prove the boat (registered ) went down, in a storm (That are tracked and even named)? Weather records are kept for many years. I once called a radio station, and received a recorded weather update from two years earlier to prove a bet with my employer. It would be best, if all the records of your mishap matched the recorded ones.
@Tac, IIRC, it weren't a storm, you were deer hunting and using the boat to get around as it is way easier the walking thru the woods. Unfortunately you were drinking (of course), and you balance was off, the boat started tipping and the cooler fell overboard, with the guns on top of it, you managed to save the cooler full of beer, but the guns........ how sad.......
As long as it is Semi-Auto only, the barrel is over 16", and complies with 922r (foreign part count) then yep, it's legal and does not need to be registered. (still have to follow the rules if you make it yourself) I love how he turned the shovel head into a flat for the receiver. Freakin' awesome!
A hunting buddy could have been piloting the boat. That's what a responsible monkey would have done if they were drinking. I'm pretty sure that is what happened on that deer hunting trip.
Ever get pulled over for something simple like a seat belt, or a tail light, followed by a breathalizer, and a back ground check and a few unpaid parking tickets....I'm saying, do not give reason to be suspect. Once suspect there is the foot in the door, that allows for deeper digging. Most of the drug runners who get caught have been pulled over for something stupid in driving habits, or malfunctions. I am not suggesting anything illegal takes place, I am saying do not open that door in the first place.
I'm impressed.... some day when i have a lot of free time... i bet i will mangle a cheap shovel until it's unusable
I've always liked the idea of an ak build with a heavy barrel and a heavy reciever. Could be made into a reliable long range rifle...
