Know the area well. I lived down in Raton for a decade and did two-way radio work for folks across 10 counties in NM, CO, TX and OK. The old New Elk mine just down the road from you was one of my customers. Work dried up in 2000 and I came back here to Ohio for what I thought would be a temporary gig..till I got myself caught by my third wife. Welcome to the tree!
