I guess the standards to be given a gun and a badge are not too high.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /> ADD: Apparently cops are too stupid to tell the difference between tasers and glocks. http://www.maderatribune.com/news/newsview.asp?c=56821 On top of that the suit against the city of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1lace w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">madera</st1:City></st1lace> and the cop gets thrown out of court. I guess it's ok to kill a handcuffed person in the back of a squad car as long as you didn't mean it. Lol the cop Marcie Noriega, isn't just any cop... she was the watch commander....... Why is it when a regular person accidentally kills its negligent homicide when a cop does the same thing they get off with no punishment ? I wonder how many "accidents" are really just police executions ?
Because he was drunk and high thats the excuse. </sar> They (the City) will loose this one big time. Not that that makes it OK though. AE
Since when does intent have anything to do with manslaughter? " I didn't mean to kill him..."They must hear that at every dwi fatality...
Well apparently a lot. If you mean to kill someone it’s called murder if you didn't mean to do it its called manslaughter. At least it is that way for regular people.... example.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /> Regular person too stupid to check his drunkenness and kills someone = manslaughter. Cop too stupid to check what she is holding and kills someone = no crime at all. Anybody that thinks our justice system has anything to do with justice is sadly mistaken.
Ummmm...... does anybody else think service weapons should have a safety? Or for that matter, why did she even have the weapon drawn and pointed and that moment? She could have just as easily hit her partner.
The primary safety should be located between the right ear and left ear. Someone that does not have that safety activated should not be around a gun. Less so own one. Even less so be a cop. FYI my 1911 has the thumb safety switch among other safeties. I am very worried about pistols that have zero safety switch. At least in the hands of cops. Have you seen the clip of the police officer giving a GUN SAFETY lesson to school kids and it discharges ? Talk about feeling badass to dumbass in 1.5 seconds flat. In front of kids no less.... while giving a safety lecture..... LOL. In the process shoots himself in the thigh.... ROFL DEA agent has an accidental discharge of a Glock .40 Cal. I shouldn't be laughing, he could have just as easily shot one of the kids. Just what kind of low-quality knobs do we accept in law enforcement ? ADD: ROFL apparantly he said and I quote "I'm the only one in this room professional enough, that I know of, to carry a Glock 40...." just before he shot himself in the leg. My sides hurt. I really should find that knob and thank him for this grand bit of keystone cops entertainment. ADD: LOL now the knob is suing YOU and ME (united states of america vs Lee Paige http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0411061foot1.html For the video of him being a stone-cold moron having found itself on the internet. Apparantly he does not like being the focus of ridicule for HIS OWN ACTIONS. ROFL
That's too funny...he's got his finger on the trigger in the opening shot; what a jerk. Don't try this at home...I'm a professional...he he In the first clip, did the discharge actually hit anyone? kinda looks like she capped the dude on the ground in the noggin?
IIRC, in the first clip the round landed next to the guys head, no one was seriously injured. And as far as the DEA guy, yeah, good thing he didn't "dry" fire into the crowd. And it's a pitty, I think he has said that before the video was "leaked" to the internet he was the #1 DEA guy for drug busts or something like that. What a maroon!!!
"look dis here'a- an unloaded gun ( slide is Back)... ( must of forgot about the full magazine in the magazine well?)... HE lets the slide go forward ... Ahm the only one here qualified to handle a glock 40. BLAM... Limps away... Best part is when he goes to pickup the AK and the crowd goes nnnnnnnnnoooo....nuh-uh...
Wow, that vid has been around while. I show it in training class. I tell new officers and officers going through ERT training that muzzling each other and the bad guys is going to happen. Specially in a dynamic Entry/CQB incidents. "if your finger is on the frame of the weapon it won't go off and you wont have an ND." S*** happens in a stressfull situation.
