I went to buy ammo for my AR.. I could not believe the shortage. I mean, last year and the year before combined weren't this bad. All my favorite places had bupkiss, save for one, which had my 2nd choice. However, it was $1.00 more /box 20. You guys need to stop buying my stuff! Anyone else notice this as well as the eerily low supply of rifles ANYWHERE you look?
I've actually made a very good return on my investment of 1,000 rounds of 5.56 that I bought 6 months ago. Not that I'd sell it.
May be that way on the east coast, but here in Reno, the 2 big stores in town have a glut of 5.56 and 7.65x39. Might just be a source and supply problem....
what kind of price are you looking for per box and what weight and type (fmj, match, bthp, sp?) http://www.wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=7240&dir=18|830|848
You know,Just looking for my favorite Vampire/Zombie boolits for reloading... Some of the these have to be backordered...Hmm...
That's exactly the box I buy.. 145 gr FMJ. Great SHTF stuff. Alas, Wideners is out. My backup is PMC bronze 147gr FMJ.. that **** is card core. Shoots a 2 foot flame out of my rifle. I was buying these items at 11-12ish a box. Now I'm seeing it for 15ish? At that price, I might not ever shoot my 308 unless I need to..lol.
If the sheep are buying it all does that make them a bit less likely to be fleeced? Or zombie sheep......

Went to the gun show this weekend 1000 rounds brass case 5.56 was about 280. Looks about current low normal to me. Ar's complete at 639 for no name and ak ammo at 250 a thousand. 5.45 was about 150 a case.
Huh...I didn't see any shortage this past weekend. Portugese .308 200rd battlepacks for $89....Speer Lawman 115g 9mm was just over $200/case 1000. Heck, one fella had linked .50BMG (plain AP IIRC) for 3.50/rd. Just about anything a monkey could want (except prices from 10 years ago)...although there didn't seem to be a glut of .25 lol
