Something occurred to me that may bring about our demise.
The government is so into dumbing us down that few if any want to be mechanics which means we will be fully dependent on manufacturers and not be able to repair or improve things our selves, much like the new cars we are stuck with.
The latest fire in California had problems because there are not enough mechanics to fix the fire trucks in los Angeles
Most things are too expensive to fix and replacement parts either are impossible to get or they cost more than the product is worth.
I saw this coming as a mechanic working on boats, and computers were being introduced making simple repairs impossible.

 

I've seen exactly one of these that wasn't a white chick or a white+white couple.
