Have a friend who is prescribed 3-5 cups of coffee a day for his problems with a fatty liver. That amount is also supposed to be good for the heart. I've heard that coffee is chock full of anti-oxidants and anti-carcinogens. Something like 211 different compounds, some so effective that just smelling the brew has a beneficial effect. Mostly I like mine fresh ground, fresh brewed, and I think I'll have another right now. Worst coffee ever? Starbucks. Tried it three times. One sip, one spit, and the rest in the trash, three for three.
