    So here is the deal.
Pain in the right shoulder and a trip to the Doc resulted in an MRI for me.
The result is below and a suddenly painful debilitating injury for me while still needing to complete Pump House repairs.
Yes I have a Plane B but I would rather finish the repairs my self.
    MRI Shows>
" 1. Small full-thickness tear of the distal supraspinatus tendon without retraction of the tendon. Mild subacromial subdeltoid fluid consistent with full-thickness tear. Moderate edema in the subacromial subdeltoid space suggesting bursal inflammation.
    2. Subchondral cystic change in the humeral head at the rotator cuff insertion
    3. Significant degenerative change at the acromioclavicular joint with marrow edema and inferior bony spurring causing with rotator cuff impingement.
    4. Moderate degenerative change in the glenohumeral joint.
I've been having too much fun during this lock down!"

    Surgery Soon.
    Anyone else have problems?

Left should killing me. Shot of cortisone helped, along with doubling up on the glucosamine.

Wife just had a sole "shaved" for a condition similar to Plantar's warts. Wouldn't really call it a black swan event, though.
My annual physical is Monday...fingers crossed!

Wearing a heart monitor and not able to do much. Kid wife that it does away with the middle man and automatically dials the undertaker when your heart stops, cuts way down on the unnecessary expenses for ambulance and emergency room care.

I had exactly the same thing a few years ago, but w/o 2 thru 4. Just ripped/detached soft tissue. Ortho surgeon had me in and out in under a week. Four tiny holes in my shoulder, and a brachial plexus nerve block took care of the initial pain completely. I was able to stash the 300 count of "special pills" away in the ohshit bag. Ibuprofen for a few weeks was enough. The follow on PT (physical terrorists) was actually worse, but necessary to prevent adhesions that limit range of motion later.
A sling was required for 3 weeks to prevent over stretching the repairs....

Rotator cuff torn and repaired 40 years back. Redone 39 years ago, the first surgeon was incompetent, second did a lot better, but the damage was more extensive than repairable at the time. Now, left and right could both use a bit of "adjustment" but I am NOT going thru that again. Not a black swan event, but sure was an interference.
    Not this event, but still---

I'm having my 21st annual 29th birthday party this week. Pretty sure the reality of what that means is going to explode my brain and half my joints when it finally sinks in.

My right foot wants to uncontrollably and repeatedly bury itself in selected asses every time I read the news

"Because COVID" I'Mrs 3M and myself unable to get regular checkups and have surgeries that keep getting put off. One of which is an otherwise benign growth on the back of my neck that is pinching nerves and makes my right arm feel like it doesn't belong to me along with some numbness in my face. Legible writing takes a great deal of patience at the moment. When COVID magically disappears after the election it will still take a LONG time to get the surgery because of the backlog.

I'm also supposed to get a new sleep study done , but am over 2,000 back in line. Had to find a used BiPAP on Craigslist and hack into it to program the correct settings to replace the one that failed. At least it's a nice preview of the national healthcare we will be subject to if Biden wins and the Senate gets flipped in November.

As the years pass many issues now dog me. Arthritis in all my joints. I tore tendons in my elbow a while back. and I'm working on building a new home! Just the thought of all the crap I have and the move is bad enough.

More of an ugly duck than a black swan.

A few days ago we found out that the spring that feeds our house is drying up and then the line from our water tank to the house sprung a leak.

We discovered copper pipe that had aged and distorted, dented and split.

Three days using gray water for most everything and potable water sparingly as the temps hit 105°.

Got a creek twenty feet from the house though. (y)

Another positive is that we had topped up our gray water storage just a few weeks ago.

But the major bummer was doing without the Swamp cooler. It was darn hot.

Wife had a major "come to Jesus" event 4 weeks ago, requiring the skills of a champion formula 1 driver to get her to the E.R. before loss of blood was unrecoverable! YUP, and now there is absolutely no doubt that old muscle car is worth keeping! I was able to spike two outlets of the same type while the E.R. Doc's got to work and plugged her in, and gave her the max you can in one go! That was a super scary "event" to say the least. I have already buried one wife, and there was no way I was ever going through that again!
So far, so good, she is mostly recovered and up and about doing her thing, as long as she takes it easy, should be good!
A week prior we were still on the boat, and it wouldn't have ended well, I'm good, but i'm not that good!

Annual physical Wednesday for me. Just had a blood draw last week. Nothing upset the Dr. too much as I got the results back the same day. Some slightly elevated levels of uric acid that I've been dealing with for a few years.
Prostate cancer is there supposedly but not visible on an MRI for the second time in two years.
Nothing unusual for an old man. No Wuhan Flu (Gasp! Can I say that?) in sight
