I cleaned a gun for a fella that had shot a neighbor over a dog issue. Silly little yappy dogs too. This had reached the point where the neighbor entered the mans garage carrying a 2x4 and said "I'm gonna kill you." His last words were "What are you gonna do, shoot me?" Yup. Right square in the chest at less than 5 feet. I hear he sat right down on the floor, with the whole front of his white t-shirt oozing blood. Fortunately he was a BIG man, weighing in at near 400 pounds, and the .45 ACP bird shot round hadn't hit anything vital.

Best line of the evening was when the Sheriff, after seeing the bloodied and sobbing neighbor in the ambulance asked the defensive shooter what he'd shot the neighbor with.
Q- "What did you shoot him with?"
A- ".45"
Q- "How many times?"
A- "Just once."

Blood splatter on brushed stainless steel is tougher to get off than you'd think. The neighbor, who was renting the home from the shooter, moved out after he was released from the hospital.
