Ok, I'm cutting the cable cord in the next couple of weeks. I will have high-speed internet and alarm but that's it. No home phone, no cable tv.

Here's the thing, I still watch 3, maybe 4 TV shows: Doctor Who and Orphan Black (BBC America), The Walking Dead (AMC) and Falling Skies (TNT).

I have both Amazon Prime and an Apple TV. The question is, does anyone know how quickly episodes are available with the "Season Pass" or whatever it's called on each platform? It looks like The Walking Dead is already available on Amazon Prime (it aired on Sunday) but I don't know how long it's been there. Doctor Who is on Hulu Plus but not Orphan Black. Falling Skies doesn't appear to be on Hulu Plus either.

Hulu Plus is available on the Xbox 360, Apple TV and the Wii, Amazon Instant Video (Prime) is available on the Xbox and the Wii (but not the Apple TV...not interested in jailbreaking the Apple TV yet).

So, I guess the question is: Does anyone use HuluPlus, AppleTV and/or Amazon Instant Video and how quickly are shows available after they air?

I just use Project Free TV. New episodes are typically online the day after it airs. The ones hosted on Sockshare tend to be the most reliable.

The wife is...not desirous of piracy at this time. Easier to catch it 3 days later than deal with the wrath of she who must be obeyed. ;)

Depending on your ISP once you reach a download point with Pirate Bay and other flagged torrent sites you make their watch list and they will share that with content providers and the large ISPs are content providers, Comcast and Time Warner.

yeah I used to get recent movies but I stopped, only use it now for TV shows and old movies. Got a couple emails that scared me enough to go to Redbox if I want something recent.
I get a lot of Kindle books too.
Nothing I talk about here actually happened, it was a dream I had

on Amazon Prime if you buy the season of shows they are available the day after they air.

The wife and I watch Bones, after watching all the past seasons on Netflix, we got the latest season on Amazon. The show airs on Monday and it's available on AP on Tuesday.

I stream all my (+familys) content since a couple of years back. The wife watches Vikings, seems to be a nice show allthough I expected more historical relevance from a show on the named network.
