Wasn't so bad as I left the house,
Then things got ugly
Think it will fall on it's own?
Nope, the skid plate is holding it on the curb. Looks familiar tho', so I guess you didn't get to pull him out --
You OK other than the skid marks?
I jumped from the moving truck as it started to reverse direction and watched the open door sail over my head. Ice was so slick that I ended up about 50 - 60 feet away.
Transfer case is leaking badly.
Sore wrist is all. And I spilled my coffee.
The good news is you didn't crap yourself.
Time for some snow chains eh ? They work great on ice for me. Had the regular ladder type peerless cables, worked ok. Very lumpy though. Have the shur grip z's now love them. Not lumpy at all and no bare spot at any point. (causes you to slide sometimes when not moving).
Waiting on a tow truck. Were over 200 reported accidents in my county today.
It's odd how fast I made the decision to eject. Never done THAT before.
Are you sure? He won't tell us, I betcha.
So you were headed UP hill? I'd a lost that bet.
(Glad the damage to your carcass is minimal.)
Glad you're okay. Ugly sight but it could have been even uglier
I was thinking the same thing.
As long as you are OK the transfer case can be fixed
yeah, glad you are OK. What a way to start the day.
Yesterday weatherman said we'd get some of that icey stuff here, they were wrong, again!
Glad you're ok....!
Ditto! Usually that ejection method ends up badly........be careful.
I'm glad you're safe.
ouch!, interesting paved road you are on there, nice banking corners
When you jumped from the truck, did you parachute automatically open or did you have to pull the ripcord?
I hope you didn't land on your Glock.....
Plastic can't hurt too badly --
Glad you're OK. After that I would have needed a
I had missed this, glad you are ok though. As far as landing on the gun, depending on how its carried that dose hurt. I had my revolver in my back pocket last winter and fell on ice and landed right on it, got up and did it again 5 feet away. Left a nice bruise...could laso have to do with why the gun dont work right any more.
Had it been a 1911 the aluminum would have bit into the Ice and stopped the slide... hehehehe, Glad you are OK M
