I am as grown as i am going to get. wow my first internet fight. was not as satisfying as i thought it would be. oh well

All hissy fits aside, if facial recognition integrates with any kind of entertainment systems I'll never own one again. I did without a TV set from 1973 up until 1995. I didn't miss a thing back then and believe I'd miss it even less now. Only bought one because the future wife wanted one.

Incidentally, I will not own a computer with a camera built in and I tape over the camera lens on my cell phones, and the latter is used only for work and lives in a steel ammo can in the garage when I'm not working.

 

SO if'n I get me one of these new-fangled TVs that means I cain't sit in front of it in the altogether, and watch my porn? Danggit.......

My guess is that Anonymous will become the most common TV demographic, come facial recognition TV. Either Anonymous, or the Ex-Presidents of the USA.

hmmm....scratch Xbox off the gift list. Facial recognition ain't an issue with my old Atari game console.

 

Mix this "So Called Smart " with the new "Smart Meters" that BC hydro rammed down our wallets .

I need clarification-
Smart TV is a stalker tv but are HD TV's safe?
Xbox One are stalker game units but what about Xbox 360?

 

Older HDTV = Better. If it connects to the internet at all via wifi - do your due diligence.
Xbox 360 + Kinect = bad.

Insufficient. It never deletes the profiles you create....just "adds to them".
More importantly, you can never know when it's calling home and likely uploading to the cloud.

Yes, but you have to put it.in learn mode first.

 

Due to the backlash, the XBOX One is available without Kinect for that very reason. I haven't looked into how to disable the Kinect on my 360 but I'm sure it's possible. My biggest complaint about it (aside from inviting the NSA into my living room) is that it hears the TV and responds (stop, fast forward, quit, etc.) in the middle of playback. Not Cool!
