Interesting .22 shortage workaround

I bought the lead F shot (16 grains each) from my previous post and some 2, 3 and 4 blanks. Only played around with it and have not got around to a range report, still going to do one. BB's were not attached to the cartridge and just put in the chamber in front of it. 5 shot groups fired at 15 yards. Here are the results I observed:

#2 blanks shot 2" high with a 2"circular group.
#3 blanks shot 2" high with a 2" horizontal group.
#4 blanks shot all over, group blown with cases sticking in chamber. OVERPRESSURE DO NOT USE!!!

 

I just hit wally -world in Canada , 22LR has 3 shelves full . & cheaper than usa. 4.40 for 50 rounds = .08 cdn per .

 

i might hafta make a road trip.

 

Perhaps a group buy?

 

if we can find somewheew with a few hundred bricks sure i have zero and about to buy 2 22 rifels for squirl and the appleseed shoot
