Interesting information about grooved gas cylinder pistons

    I had a call today from an old armorer who was telling me that during the 1980's, the Marines tried adding 2 grooves to their gas cylinder pistons (one on the top and one on the bottom) for their rifle teams. He dug out an article and is mailing it to me so I'll update this when I get more information. This is the first I have heard about this. Does anyone have any information
