Is this for real??? Ain't Democracy great?

Keep in mind, the vast majority of US politicians are/were Lawyers. Lawyers exist soley to 'make laws', as that is their ONLY metric for performance. They must "do something" to show the mindless public they are working. So they craft ever more odious laws, nevermind the existence of thirtyseven laws on the books already for any conceivable crime or event.
If some lunatic goesout and kills nuns and babies, the politician is impelled to create a new law making murder 'illegal'........ The Great Unwashed Masses see him working 'to protect the public', and they re-elect him next cycle......
Every so often, these august persons choose among their own kind a 'leader' to basically be the Front Man for the whole sordid Dog&Pony Show. We call this sick and twisted individual "President".

It's a great scam, if you have the stomach and lack of scruples for it.

 

Didn't some notable man once say, "the first thing we must do is kill all the lawyers?" not that I would condone such an action of course.
