It is all falling apart.

Pretty sure everyone with even a couple of functional brain cells can see that everything is falling apart. Whether by design or coincidence can be debated, personally I believe it is a mix of by design and unintended consequences thrown in for good measure. Inflation, Crime, Random acts of violence, a failed public education system, supply chain malfunctions, work force participation, illegal immigration, food shortages, sheer Government incompetence, Polarization and Deep Divisions, A general mix of fear and hostility out in society. The list just keeps going to the point that the list of things NOT wrong and messed up is a lot shorter than the list of things that ARE wrong and messed up.

I am not as old as some here and not as young as others. I am old enough to remember a time when this was a much different world. I grew up in the last decades of the Cold war with the Soviet Union, was a young soldier that trained hard to fight Ivan and remember well the wall coming down and the Soviet Union falling apart primarily from unsustainable financial and supply stressors. It was a good time to be alive and on the surface appeared that we were going to be living in a new world free of a great threat.

Here we are today in a world that I would argue is more dangerous, more likely to have some nuke action, and with literally everything falling apart to some degree. At the same time it is pretty obvious that the stage is being set for World War 3 and a world full of even more unintended consequences. I look at how we got from there to here and try to look into the crystal ball and predict how we are going to get from here to there. The crystal ball works on seeing trends and patters and right now all I am seeing is the starts to trends and patterns that sooner rather than later gets all twisted in swirling chaos.

The just is not enough unity and not enough people that value Freedom and Liberty anymore to make a dent in the chaos to end the polarization and divisions that are driving the insanity that is inherit of chaos. What a real mess we created in a time where we could have created something truly great. I am starting to believe that a large percentage of humanity is by nature self destructive and can only thrive in the chaos and division they create.

Just something I have been thinking about of late and felt some weird need to write it down :)

No one can accidentally screw up literally everything, every single time and with a few things the second time around too. Therefore it has to be deliberate.

erm, have you seen the general condition of the human race? I could actually see it being that we are that stupid.
Our society could literally collapse and begin burning around us and we'd post it on tiktok and instagram.

But yeah, something is afoot and we are easily amused by circuses and monkeys with cymbals.

It is most definitely all by design!

When there is an accident and instead of addressing the hazards as have been done before, they blow it up and make the accident far worse. THAT is a deliberate act. Never let a crisis go to waste sound familiar?

How many agricultural and Food processing facilities have had fires or explosions in the last year or two?

Can one except that prosecutors, that have been bought and paid for by our enemies, turning murderers, rapist, child molesters, loose without bail, is intentional?

    Accidents happen.

    Bad people do bad things.

Our enemies, foreign and domestic, will work to take advantage and promote hardships upon us.

I do think it is a mix of both, intentional and unintentional happenings. I think that no one can determine all the unintentional things that just happen from their deliberate actions which is what we are seeing. I also think a lot of it is simply mismanagement caused by greed and those grasping for more power.

Concerning the Banking situation now, why didn't management/leadership put into effect after 2008 better rules and regulations? Greed and since the bank contribute to politicians' campaign funds these changes didn't go into effect. I stuck a majority of my savings into CDs thinking they are a risk-free option but apparently, they are not. I'm considering seeing if I can close them and pay the penalty and will check into that today.

Anyway, it's a mess...corruption, greed, power grabbing, call it what you will, this country is horribly screwed up.

I was in the former Soviet in 1995. Fall of Empire is a hard thing.

We are our own way to a major collapse. I can only hope it is after I've passed.

Living too well ultimately leads to hardship. The wheel turns and the pendulum swings. A lot of people will be swinging as well. Many of them will be surprised as they thought they would always have the upper hand.

The Demonrats have found their formula finally. Eliminate us as much as possible, replace us with immigrants, keep the bucks coming into their pockets from overseas interests, promote stupidity while penalizing the smart.

As someone who is a bit of a prepper (haha, bit) I am not so concerned with it falling apart or why, My fear is who is it that is going to be the ones that put it back together? That is some "Great Reset" bull$hit if you ask me.

i hope to live to see the other side of the "troubles" that are coming but i can't fortell the future unfortunately. i have a real crystal ball, picked up at a flea market years ago. i tried for a long time to use it but have had no luck. ordered some more stuff, plugging holes in my preps and i'm sure i'll miss or forget something. kamp krap i totally agree with you, i to feel its all just circling the drain right now. unfortunately TPTB will think all is cool but discover that they are just useful idiots as well ! i don't wish it but i think those of the NWO/Great Reset will find they messed up and soured the well, things won't go as they want or expect. on a side note how are you and Mrs. Krap doing ? i hope and pray better ! The country I grew up in is gone! I'll be 67 soon and I don't see how things will ever get better or back to maybe normal. Sad really. Our country is so divided now and it will only get worse. Every week it seems there is something else going wrong. The world also is going nuts! Just prepare people. I hope we don't see total chaos but I dread my children will. :(

Yep the country I grew up in is gone and IMO will never come back. At 73 I never thought it would happen but it has. The left has taken over the government schools and has taught these brains of mush that America is evil, capitalism which built this nation is evil, the military is evil, whites are guilty of the sins of many past generations work ethic has been destroyed, they have been taught lies which become a false truth, the government owes everyone an equal share (which will be nothing). They have been taught socialism/communism is the answer but have not been taught neither has been successful and the people suffer. My kids and grandkids will be left a 3rd world country where the founding principles have long been forgotten. I have live in the best of times and now the worst.

At 66 now and never married or had kids, I don't expect to be around too much longer. Health problems figure into that too. So, I'll not be sorry to miss out on the continuing degradation of the US. I'm sad to see it all going bad, but today's liberals are just hellbent on destroying this nation. I want nothing to do with them.

This thread is spot on. I realize that there's been good guys and bad guys throughout history. Humans have always been tribal, manipulative, territorial and so forth, but this is not the America I grew up in. I admit that a certain percentage of my attitude about what America was like back then is because I was a young, naive teenager full of optimism about my future. One of the ways I responded to the way things are now was to write a novel about it. I deliberately made the ending turn out well for my main characters because, well, I'm always struggling to keep my optimism in touch with reality. My novel is "Zap!" published at Smashwords for a few bucks. If anyone here at SM would like it free, just PM me with your preferred format and it's yours.

IF the poles shift the way some think they will (and the poles are moving more rapidly every year) then in 20 years or so we may be faced with a start over - as in Stone Age start over. Snowflakes are going to have a hard time with no electricity, running water, city sewer, transportation by foot or animal only and grow/hunt your own food. That’s IF they survive the floods, volcanos etc. Should be entertaining, more than likely I won’t be here by then.

    My kids will adapt.
We lived through some hard times in the desert off grid and learned how to deal with having less.
We used antiques most of the time and thought nothing of it.
They know what it takes and are mentally prepared for the worst nd have prepared for what they see ahead as much as they can.
I am not concerned about my survival so much any more knowing they are prepared.
