Well it's not 1960s, either movies or music, but last Tuesday the local library had a free viewing of a documentary about what life would have been like if Hitlery HAD won. And get this, it was filmed in 1984! That is also the name of the movie, "1984"! Scared the snot out of me! They got EVERYTHING right too! It was just too scary and accurate to put into words, you really have to see it for yourself!

In the 60s, the Army was full of unwilling draftees - folks who wanted nothing to do with Uncle Sugar.

Today's military - combat arms section, is full of volunteers - warriors....

He was indeed, but managed to keep it quiet for the most part. His views on homosexuality for instance might surprise many.
Ronald Reagan's autobiography and Killing Reagan by Bill O' Reilly are both excellent books, and go into great detail.

 

What appears for public consumption, doesn't necessarily reflect what is personally believed and closely held. Sometimes realpolitik requires a bit of theatre and pantomime, contrary to one's own personal views. That certainly seems to be the case with Drumpf. I think Drumpf is more a reptilian chameleon, than a Kekian frog.
