    My question is, why have another launch site in VA, when they have the whole of Canaveral in FL? What's wrong with all of their launch pads that they needed new ones?

    The site at Wallops (established in 1945) predates anything in Florida, by at least 10 years, and so does Vandenberg in Commiefornia...
