"better be good"? by the way thank you for posting, I don't watch too much "network" tv and woulda missed it.. I'm pretty sure you weren't overly impressed with the show last night ... it was the original first season opener. From my pov They "wasted" alot of the entire first season with too much "relationship" stuff).Perhaps To collect a female audience? They "waste" alot of time with Jake getting together with the blonde and Stanley getting together with the the IRS chick auditing his farm. Eric runs around on his wife with the bartender..ALOT OF THE first season is dragged along week to week by enticing hints dropped by hawkins as to who he really is... Howevever: Two macro ideas I took away from seeing somebodies idea of teotwaki played out on network tv were: 1) The importance of information and or the lack there of. ( I'm thinking redundant am/fm/sw recievers and rechargeable batteries with a solar rechaging capability should recieve more importance on my list.. 2) survivors will have to work together and individual integrity will still determine who behaves themselves and Who breaks laws. EXACTLY AS TODAY. "Berzerkers" who run around shooting their neighbors because; "Well" "the balloon went up" will be taken a dim view of and dealt with accordingly....
2) survivors will have to work together and individual integrity will still determine who behaves themselves and Who breaks laws. EXACTLY AS TODAY. Yup. Therein lays the rub, who do you trust to hack their share of the load? (This came up somewhere, ahem, else.)
Actually I was pretty impressed.... it left me really anxious for the next episode. Throw in some really good actors and production values and I can see it's going to be a very good series. Can't wait for next friday night
Well.....based on the events of the last episode. Especially that train load of folks heading towards them, I would suspect that Jericho is about to become caught in the middle of a Civil War between factions fighting for control of the government. HOLY ORWELL....BATMAN!!!!
