Is it "better"(?) Its believable anyway,The country is split in half at the Mississippi river after 23 nuclear detonations; the remnants of the old federal gov is holding on in columbus, ohio (IIrc), the "new" gov't formed by the conspirators has setup in cheyenne wyo. Cheyenne has sent the military around to get utilities back on and set up martial law under cheyenne wyo. They also sent in contractor thugs "ravenwood" (blackwater) Who generally control everything ,who are above the law and confiscate whatever they don't provide. A deadly pandemic has finally jumped the mississippi and ravenwood is confiscating any "blackmarket"( non cheyenne approved" vaccine... The local military comander is looking for the agent Hawkin's killed in order to find the remaining nuclear bomb Hawkins has hidden. Hawkin's is also trying to throw him off...without letting on he's tracking down the conspirators. The Military commander(the major) let on he knows the "other" agent "still has a bomb",so he is aware of the conspiracy to detonate nuclear bombs across the us. He knows alot more than he's let on....
I don't know if it's any "better" than before...... but I'm liking it. The corporate controlled everything is right on the money.
" to find the remaining nuclear bomb Hawkins has hidden " i thought Chauvez took the bomb to Texas to persuade Texas not to join the Cheyenne gov't just wondering if this is possible " conditioning " mercs virus/vaccines food shortages beans - bullets - gold/silver
You could very well be be correct; I forgot about chauvez from last week, , but I thought hawkins had jake involved in exposing the conspiracy? and the bomb was his evidence? Merc's /contractors I would lay all of melbos'and clydes pm's on.
the bomb would only be evidence to Texas the Cheyenne gov't would want this evidence to disappear i think Major Peck will see the light and side with Jake/Hawkins somehow they have to expose Valente and how much does the Cheyenne Prez know/involved ?
I see so much unbelievable stuff in it, I simply can't watch it. Too many people have no clue how the division of labor works and how long it would take to come up with a new vehicle ( much less the fuel ) for a tax collector to ride out to farmboy's house, or "restore power to 70% of Jericho", (the same EMP that took it out in the first place would take years and years to overcome, if ever ) and so on......this week, doctorboy puts in a requisition for 3,000 syringes......ahahahahahaa......WHERE is the factory making these ?....... Then the big, bad "Ravenwood" guy walking around in a polo shirt. Somebody would put a pistol in his ear and his brains would exit out the other ear hole in about 2 seconds flat in a real situation......"administrator" my ass...... It's such a crock of manure I simply refuse to waste another 41 minutes ( DVR- commercials ) on it.
It's the closest thing to a pro-2nd Amendment/survivalist mentality show any of the networks have, and I for one am enjoying it. The bomb is still with Hawkins. I do think Major Peck will end up being part of the internal group trying to expose Valente'. I knew that Ravenwood would come back into play. You know, so much of this is being written as though it wasn't the typical Hollywood crap. Ravenwood is bad, and all of this was written before the problems with Blackwater in Iraq came to light. Infringement upon the rights of the citizens by declaring martial law=Patriot Act? Sure, tactics and decisions are not all sound, but it is entertaining and is keeping me interested so I am staying tuned. Some of the details are not always plausible, but remember this show was killed off, and they had to scramble to get new material written in time for production to take place, the film to get canned, and to make it in time for a mid-season replacement. Remember too, it is TV and it is made for the general public.
I enjoy the show. It does have some unbelievable stuff but it's made for tv. I'm just glad its back on. That and Wife Swap are the only shows I look forward to. Wife swap makes our family look "normal." LOL Maybe some of the sheeple will start to question what would happen if a nuke went off and would the government be there to help them. Just maybe the show will open the eyes of a few and there will be more prepared people out there. Just maybe. Memories of Katrina and all the looting and gun grabbing have gone down the memory hole already.
Yup, it's only T.V...popping the Ravenwood guy with martial law in town is gonna get you a death sentence, in a "field expedient trial"...Even if he does need it. As things go back to "normal" folks have more to lose. If you are eating grass soup and sleeping in the sewer, its alot easier to risk harsh(5.56) punishment to strike out .
I had never heard of the show until I saw a post by E.L. on it. I bought the first season DVD's and my daughter and I watched them all. We are both hooked now. Even when I am out of town we call each other after the show and discuss it. I see a lot of things that aren't realistic, but it is entertainment. I don't require strict reality based scripting to be entertained. And it has opened a dialogue between myself and others on survival issues. BTW, the way I understod it, Chauvez took the stolen computer files to Texas as proof, not the bomb.
Start buying nuts! The first network television I have watched in years and they cancel the thing. Jericho Nuked by CBS By Gina Serpe Fri Mar 21, 6:40 AM PDT Aw, (pea)nuts. Despite getting a fan- (and legume-) powered reprieve, CBS has given the heave-ho to Jericho. The latest—and likely final—cancellation of the apocalyptic series came Friday, after CBS execs determined the resurrected series had not generated big enough ratings. The season/series finale will air Tuesday night. "Without question, there are passionate viewers watching this program; we simply wish there were more," said CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler. "We thank an engaged and spirited fan base for keeping the show alive this long, and an outstanding team of producers, cast and crew that went through creative hoops to deliver a compelling, high-quality second season. "We have no regrets bringing the show back for a second try. We listened to our viewers, gave the series an opportunity to grow, and the producers put a great story on the screen. We're proud of everyone's efforts." However, in what's no doubt an attempt to ward off another 25-ton delivery of peanuts to the network's New York and Los Angeles offices, the Hollywood Reporter claims that two potential endings for the series were filmed, and the one chosen for air isn't as definitive as it could have been. Per the Reporter, the selected ending won't necessarily preclude the series from coming back to the airwaves, albeit on cable, if at all. Last June, Tassler, in the wake of the enthusiastic peanut-sending campaign that has already gone down in the annals of TV fandom, ordered a seven-episode second season of the show, hailing the overwhelmingly persuasive nature of sending the nuts—an idea borne from a line in the inaugural season's finale—but warned that "for there to be more Jericho, we will need more viewers." Unfortunately, follow-through doesn't appear to be Jericho fans' strong suit. The show has continually been on the losing end of the Nielsen fight since its relaunch last month. Jericho averaged 6.8 million viewers through its first five episodes. in the neighborhood of other CBS un-favorites like Viva Laughlin (6.5 million—for one episode) and Welcome to the Captain (6.3 million). Last season, when it got canceled the first time, Jericho averaged 9.2 million for a 23-episode season. That's a loss of nearly 2.5 million viewers, or 26 percent of its audience. Most every show is down this year, but that's even worse than usual. Jericho does, however, continue to be a bankable hit online, both as one of CBS' Innertube's most-watched shows and as an iTunes performer. The second-season premiere sold more than 700,000 copies, making it one of iTunes' most downloaded shows.

Apparently CBS is shopping "Jericho" and with it's high online numbers, DVD purchases, and high I-Tune ratings it is a good possibility we have not see the last of it. Keep your hopes up. http://www.jericho-kansas.com/
i am watching the season finale right now also saw it advertised for saturday on the space channel Jake and Hawkins in Cheyenne, looking for the bomb J & R trying to move the bomb in an ambulance Jake/Hawkins steal the ambulance, Hawkins gets shot Jake crashes the ambulance thru the Texas embassy gates
It's definitely conditioning, but you can't get them away from American Idolatry and Prancing with the Stars. Did I mention The gladitorial diversions and fast crash racing?
Next time please at least give us a "SPOILER ALERT". I liked it, but want more. Hopefully another network will pick it up.
