Just applied for "jackboot".. Update... Got the Job (updated Feb 15th.. got the job) Well, I had hoped to get away from the LEO/Security stuff when I relocated a couple months ago, but the sad fact is that it's the best job around here that I'm qualified for as far as pay/benefits are concerned. And I'm starting to run out of money. (sigh).... So I put in my app today for a Corrections Officer position that just opened up at a nearby prison. I've done this kind of work before, and it usually ends up in me being depressed and even more cynical about the human race than I already am (if that's possible), but I don't seem to have a lot of options now. So I'm gonna try to keep focused on the positive aspects (If I get the job obviously), like decent pay, good benefits, retirement plan, bla bla. And I figure if tshtf, surely the badge is worth something?
