BASIC INFO: KA-BAR®'s ZK (Zombie Killer) Knives are designed to perform under the most rigorous, unexpected conditions, from the campsite to tactical missions to the zombie apocalypse! The KA-BAR® ZK War Sword is a straight edge fixed blade sword, constructed with a non-reflective black powder coated SK5 steel blade measuring a full 9 3/4" and has an overall length of 15 1/8". This sword features a textured GFN-PA66 handle and includes an extra set of black handles plus a nylon sheath with front stuff sack and draw cord. This sword was linked here before (probably in chat), when they were on sale. I thought I would share this now since they seem to be quite popular. I might actually check this blade out, but I will be monitoring the prices for a while first. PRICE: Originally listed for around $45, they quickly sold out at most websites, these blades come in a variety of styles, but this war sword is the most popular. Currently, the best price I can find is at Sportsmansguide for about $50. Expect to pay $70 to $100 elsewhere, and the places it can be found cheaper are most likely sold out. RUNDOWN: From what I have gathered, the sheath isn't the best. It can be modified a bit, but you are still left with a 'so-so' sheath in the end. The blade is very well balanced, but I have read complaints about the handle design with the grip being uncomfortable, but as far as that is concerned...not a huge point to worry about. This war sword could serve as a very good, affordable chopper, possibly a good camp baton blade, or 'apocalypse zombie killer' if the theme suits. The handles can be switched out for black ones, which come with the knife. Some vendors only sell the war sword and sheath and do not offer the extra, small skeletonized Archeron blade (perhaps used for delicate matters, like taking a war trophy from the zombies). Check it out if you like.
I got one question, what is with the Chartreuse on the zombie stuff. Who did the study that says it's an invisible color to the undead? Seriously, I want the grant money for that study back.

Dude....I gave you a link about 3 months ago where you could buy those for nothing. Check the extremist thread. I like the sheath given what the knife is. The lime handles can be switched out with included blacks ones.
No way, dude. The minute I clicked that link, they were sold out of the war swords. I remember. Seriously. No, really. I might get a Cold Steel Gladius for now...been wanting that for a bit to test out.

@CATO This looks cool: Gladius I want a forged gladius. So far, this is the best I found for the price. I don't like the sheath, too traditional and bulky.
