Exactly. I like to see the Monkey minds discuss & discect new products. It could be helpful but the minds on here look from all aspects. Great points and views have been pointed out. The video shows perfect wood that would be easy to use in the kindling cracker but I really would like to see a gnarly log run thru it.

I'm thinking maybe something set up like a pile driver. Rope, pulley, heavy iron encased in a guide mechanism and the splitter would be more like a juicer type point. The multi-point could effectively split a chunk of wood into multiple pieces at the same time. Would only require a little work that even some weaker people could do. Just an idea.

Heard of some one out my way that had a log splitter that used high pressure compressed air to drive a ram through the wood.. Was told it worked very rapidly ..

The jacks wear out before the framework notices it.
There is nothing this unit can't split. (except atoms)

Looks up to the task. Sir. Slow but powerful. I have a friend who did the same type of spliter, but as a horizonal.

It wasn't up until a couple of years ago I ever saw a log splitter. Seemed like a weird idea, not really sure what to think about them these days.

nice slitter @arleigh and why is the cast iron skillet next to the splitter? =) just curious if you split your wood and then go cook something up besides trouble ;)
