While Ive made other knives for myself in the past and a few forged pieces mass produced as practice from railroad spikes even sold 15 years ago were sold, none have been marked and none were worth marking. This is my first knife made for sale but is not likely to be my last. It has my makers mark on one side of the blade and the date (IX V) on the other. It is 9.25" over all length and 2" from edge to spine. The wood of the handle is made from 80+ year old osage orange (hedge, bodark). The steel is 5/16 O-1 steel. I wanted to go ahead and raffel this piece off here. Numbers will be $20 each. I will wait untill all the slots are filled before collecting the money so that if only a few slots fill there arent problem then after collecting the money I will send the numbers through one of the randomizers and pick the winner. There will be 20 chances going up. Here are a few pics of the knife. The first one shows the balance point of the knife, the rest are self explanitory.
Ok so its the last one that show the ballance point. Also if the winner would like I will inlay up to 3 letters or a simple symbol of thier choice into the handle in thier choice of colors. Good luck to all! 1- 2- 3- 4- 5- 6- 7-Quigley 8- 9-Tlynn 10- 11- 12- 13-melbo 14- 15- 16- 17- 18- 19- 20-
Ok well there dosnt seem to be tons of intrest at $20 so Ive decided to drop the price for numbers to $10 each. Hope this will fill things up quicker.
Thats fine, I will be collecting after the slots fill up, that way Im not holding anyones money for a month or two if this takes a while to fill up.
melbo, I like the #13 because it is both my brother's birthday and my nephew's birthday. But I don't particulary care for the #7 so I'll keep #9 as it stands for September which is my birthday month. Am I confusing you yet? Besides none of my family was born in July that I can think of off the top of my head.
Okay due to a need for funds soon, The deal changed and the raffel is only going for those already signed up.
