Some pics from the last week. .... too short and lost a couple of days from the week to howling wind and driving (sideways) rain but loved every moment of it. Deer.... Big Hog... Bigger Hog....smaller tusks... Recovered the jaws... Glam pics... I have a few more to find and edit up. I didn't take a deer but a mate there took a nice enough buck. He is sending some pics but is not a photographer....
Curious whether you’ve hunted here in the states? What are your local regulations for hunting? At least here in Michigan, it’s usually one specie at a time. (I.e. when deer season is open, wild turkey is closed).
..... not really hunted in the sates.....as such. I have hunted Mozambique, New Caledonia, New Zealand and here. Of all we have the least hunting regulations. Pigs, Deer, Fox, Rabbit, Buffalo, Bantang, Camel, Donkey (etc) are all introduced species here and considered feral so may be killed at will if you have access to the areas. About the only thing that have a season is ducks.
Pulled the smaller set of tusks yesterday..... ....larger set are with a mate who pulled them as well...they are ummmm.... "larger" ...
……that depends mostly on locality. I hunt year round but Nov - Feb here can be tough going particularly once inland due to heat. But I have successfully hunted deer in December. For deer you want to probably target the Rut/Roar which along the east coast is @March - May depending on the particular year. For hogs in hot weather you hunt water.
