Fine, they ban tannerite. Get thee some ammonium nitrate and some fine micron aluminum powder. weight ratio is ... hell, just go visit http://www.sciencemadness.org they've got many more things to get you onto a list for. and i think by law you can have 50# just like black powder. (I am not a lawyer so do your own due dilligence) these people are seeing terrorist everywhere.
.GOV is always finding ways to keep the slaves under control, removing any perceivable threat before it can become an actual one. These scumbags know they are our enemy, and seek to perpetuate their own safety while constantly abusing their seats of servitude in order to gain more power for themselves. We know they hold no real power.
"Can be sold without restriction." Not concidered an explosive until mixed. Then and only then does it require a licence to transport it. I do not see a legal reason why it would be limited to #50 unless mixed. @BTPost might know for sure.
As I recall, One may posses Ammonia Nitrate without license or issue. One can also posses aluminum in any form without license or issue. It is my recollection, That once mixed, one may posses 50# of Tannerite, HOWEVER, it would be VERY Wise, to then USE IT, and NOT store the mixture, longer than 24 hours. To do so, for a LONGER interval, would REQUIRE, a Licensed Orange Book Magazine, and an Explosive OEM License. It is the same for MANY chemicals, and Binary Mixtures (Zinc Dust & Sulfur, Mag Dust & Potassium Chlorate, Potassium Chlorate & NitroBenzene, Etc.) Once mixed, any of these type of mixtures have the propensity of Self-Detonation, after varying lengths of time. A hard lesson to LEARN, if one stores such a mixture in his/her Bedroom, and it detonated a few days later, making the house uninhabitable for a while. This happened to a childhood Friend, of mine, and his/her A$$ was Bright Red for a Month, from Daddies Belt. I was fortunate enough the learn this lesson, by Proxy, while in Grade School. It did make a considerable impression on Me, at the time, to the Point, that I did my own Due Diligence Research, before I every entertained the formulation of any compounds in this class. I learned everything that was available, on each formulation, long before I ever compounded a Test Charge. This was my Personal approach , to My Research, that carried on clear thru college, and beyond. I still have ALL my Fingers, Toes, and Body Parts, where a few of my Partners do NOT, due to their Lack of Research. Energetic Materials are just that.... Energetic.... and Nothing to mess around with, unless you do your OWN PERSONAL Due Diligence Research.
One can store Am/Ni but if you buy much the alphabet boys will be notified of your purchase per law. We conservative Bible believing constitution supporting gun owning folks are a threat to TPTB--especially if you are a veteran--"bitter clingers" you know. Something is grossly wrong with this perspective. Would say what the solution is but then I would be on another list.
I thought this was coming months ago .... the Feds kicked down the U Tube Tannerite Guy's door and tore his house apart ..... just "investigating" for explosives .....
That doesn't sound very smart. If I were concerned that somebody was making explosives with not so good intent, the last thing I would do would be to kick in a door. On a side note, it will be interesting to see what happens when they kick in the wrong door one of these days. The door that belongs to the guy that just spent 10 years on and off in Afghanistan, who's MOS was in ordinance disposal and has seen many crafty little IED tricks over there, and now just want's to live on his mountainside and be left alone. - Sounds like the making's for a movie
Their tactics will come back to haunt them someday. There is an old saying in the Marines---"go ahead and group up--one gren--- will get you all". Stated in a reply to us running from our embassies with our tails between our legs something like---if you know an attack is imminent then make preparations to repel them. One would pay a terrible price for such in defending his home against TPTB--but then, maybe it would be worth it.
