    Course on leadership .. The Corps history is shot full of incidents of young Marines stepping up when their next in command falls, to assume that possittion .. Who has forgotten when Sgt striker ( the Duke) is shot?? "Saddle up Marines"...

    Did not happen just in the Marines but is practiced there. WWII really brought out small unit tactics.
