Just a quick reminder of what our fore father's pledged and suffered to create this once great land. By the late, great Paul Harvey.

 

Always did like and respect Mr. Harvey .

 

Paul was the best. That voice. Amazing!

 

Paul Harvey was a true patriot. That piece should be taught in every school in the country - but it isn't and that is criminal, and we all should be ashamed that it isn't.

 

What a marvelous video! Thank you @Gafarmboy . I remember listening to Paul Harvey on the radio as a kid. No one has ever been able to fill his shoes...now all we get is political hack and propagandists. Anyway...

Many will say, "The fathers of our country had everything to gain by a revolution" since they were prosperous but they always fail to realize what they had to lose and how many did indeed lose everything. No, those guys were the real deal and truly bet it all and one must realize they all ready had it good, real good, yet they risked their 'lives, fortunes, and sacred honor' to give us a country.

The other thing to remember this 4th is this is about our country - not about our government. Many times it is hard to keep the bitterness of one seeping into the other but they are not the same, totally separate. So..."Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it." - Mark Twain
