So I said I would post a review of my IWB Alien Gear holster. I have a micro 1911 that I bought it for. It is so comfortable and light weight I forget I'm wearing it. I carry everyday for work and need a discreet rig that doesn't print like an OWB does. The extended skin protector is great. It keeps the slide from rubbing but it doesn't cover the grip. The grip screws on my 1911 started to rust when I would sweat in the summer. I recently decided to get one for my XD 45. I was afraid the larger frame would be uncomfortable but not so. It is as comfortable and light weight as my 1911. With the many ways to adjust them you can get the perfect hieght cant, and position. I can't recommend them enough.
I prefer the safari shoulder holster for my 357 mag especially while hunting and carrying my .454. If I have to lay down with my weapons and crawl with them this works out best for me. I have tried running with a side holster and didn't like it at all. I also wear my Bowie in back horizontally on my belt. hardly notice it's there.
