I've been listening to him for a couple of months, can't wait to hear you on his show!
Got my signed copy, Thank you Dave.
Finally got around to taking a picture of my new First Edition Signed Copy next to my "first edition."
Very good read!
I just ordered my signed copy Melbo.....let me know when it goes out after David signs it.
will do. I sent him the info just now.
I got mine today - thanks.
Got mine today... Thanks!
Bought a copy of Lights Out before Christmas. Does anyone know how to or where to send it to get signed by David Crawford
Send him a PM here: halffast
You could try a PM to him on this site, but we know he's busier than a cat trying to cover you know what on a tin roof, and you might not hear back for a while. Bet bet would be to absorb the hassle of contacting the publisher (Halffast Publishing in Texas) or Lightsoutthebook.com.
I just finished reading my copy. All I can say is BRAVO!
I'll post a review in various places soon.
I have to ask - David, why did you substitute Kroger for HEB? You mentioned the "Kroger" @ 281 and Thousand Oaks, which was my store for 14 years!
I had to laugh, because HEB pretty much ran Kroger out of San Antonio by about 1994! I remember when my neighborhood Kroger went belly up about 1993 or so - corner of Bitters and 281.
I have cousins who live very close to where "Silver Hills" seems to be.
Stuff like that makes the story great, because I know where everything is!
I'm halfway through the book. It's - well I already said it - great.
Because everyone knows Kroger, but not everybody knows what HEB is. Besides, I didn't want to have people laughing at me for buying my groceries from a guy named Butts!
Glad you're enjoying the book. Thanks to everyone for the kind comments.
I just finished my signed copy about a week ago. That was a great book...I was a little sad to finish it. It is one of the few books that I could read again. There could easily be a sequel (*hint^3 ;->)
I have read OSA, Patriots, and LO (in that order) and LO was the more enjoyable read, although I think all 3 should be read. OSA and Patriots were very depressing versions of what our future reality could be. I think the neighborhood/family aspects of the book gave little sunshine to a bad situation.
Review posted here - Book Reviews: Lights Out - David Crawford - Baen's Bar and a couple of other places.
Halffast, that was inspriing. Well done!
ok, just got done with lights out, wanted it to go on and on. that book was one of the first books I read in a while that kept my interest to the end. very very good read!!!!
I just finished LO and loved it! A definite classic along with UC and the EFAD series for me.
I got the kindle copy. I want more please write more from when it ended.
