A couple of friend have bought the #8 grinder stuffers and one a #22 and all three have used them hard for a while now, and love them. I have been needing to upgrade some of my older equipment and not wanting to spend a fortune on a grinder, but still be able to grind in the 250-300 pounds per hour range.

So off to Rural King this morning and dropped a hair over $1100 on grinder, meat mixer, Commercial Grade Vac Bagger, spare parts, a new and better slicer, a tenderizer for cutlets, and a new dial scale fer good measure. Mrs. T5R Was aware of my purchases long before I made the hour drive home from town............. I swear she has a sixth sense and gets on the computer and tracks what I am spending about 90 minutes after I pull out :) So I pulled up in front of the commercial kitchen and took the first armload in and there she was waiting with the wifey frown of displeasure LOL. Like any good Federal Investigator she never ask a question that she does not already know the answer to...... "So how much did you spend today?" I am wise to that and trick and said $1,719.31, She huffed and walked back over to the Cabin since I was honest to the penny and she was not going to catch me minimizing on this fine day :)

Unloaded everything else and put together what needed putting together and then gave it wash to remove any factory oil and ground out 10 pounds of breakfast sausage. It did as good or better as my old Hobart with the 1hp motor. Was impressed that its guts are all steel and brass

The old Hobart 622, the health inspector hates him but can't find a valid reason to not allow me to use it.

The New Lincoln #22 with 1HP.

New 17 pound meat mixer the old cast one was a PITA and heavy and only a 10 pound.

OK I gotta say I love this vac bagger much better than the ones I have used for the last 15 and 20 years! Only time will tell if it passes the test of time :) If it works as good 5 years from now as it did in the trial run today, I might ask it to marry me :)

My commercial stuff doubles as my personal use stuff so I am pretty picky about buying things that not only work but WORK VERY WELL and have some good life span in them.

SO the full Sausage making line after I cleaned it up after the trial run. Collectively I would give this line a 4.8 out of 5 stars for ease of use, quality of work and ease of cleaning. The few things I don't particularly like are just the typical changing from one style of equipment and getting used to the new. Cough I also bought a Lincoln #8 that I paid cash for separately for. I have not ran it yet as it needs to be lost in the warehouse for a few Months. I got it just for Deer Health Department frowns heavily on co-mingling Equipment from inspected products and wild game :) I have not used it yet but my 2 friends that have #8s as I said work them hard and love them.

We use a Weston 1.5hp #22 grinder/stuffer. Real work horse ! Don't know if they make the cuber/tenderizer attachment for the Lincoln, but we use ours a lot to make cube steak from beef, and pork 'cutletts' my wife rolls in flour and pan fries. Goes on the grinder in place of the regular head, and you drop slices of meat thru the top, and it comes out cube steak on the bottom.

Don't know if they do or not. I like some things hand crank like the mixer and the cuber. Have a table band saw that has a grinder with different attachments one being the cuber/tenderizer and seems just as fast for the wife to feed em through while I crank.

BTW, my wife says you may appear to get away with "found in the warehouse" story, but it does raise alarms on the BS meter :)

Beautiful stuff, now I am showing my age and background, LOVE MEAT PREPPING PORN!!! Great grand dad came home from civil war and opened a butcher shop and slaughter house, grand dad, dad, 2 brothers continued it. I joined USAF and escaped but growing up as a child on a farm and with the shop, learned to love good equipment and admire its skilled use. Thank you for sharing and tell us how it works in long run. Grand dad with huge meat cleaver and hand saw could breakdown a huge amount of meat in a day for us to trim out the bones and grind. Family made hams and sausage for generations, all gone now.

Oh I know there shall be a price to pay down the road when the #8 appears. But that price will be much lower than it would have been yesterday when compounded with the known stuff :) I think of it as breaking the displeasure down into payment installments with low interest rates VS Paying the displeasure price all in one lump sum :)

I strongly advocate against being in debt and Never carry a balance on credit cards. That said Rural King is now offering a Visa card that gives you 1.5% cash back on all purchases and 5% cash back on every purchase at RK. For a $1719.31 a 5% rebate is not insignificant. Just pay the bill as soon as it comes and never carry a balance; money in your pocket.

Is your Lincoln brand equipment made by Lem? Sure looks like my Lem #8 grinder.

It is identical LEM with a few minor differences but I suspect it is LEM with the Lincoln outfitters Name on it. Only differences I see between the LEM 22 and the Lincoln Outfitter 22 is the bottom vents on the LEM are vertical and on the LO they are horizontal. Second difference is the cap for the grinder plates, LEMs are usually just bumps for gripping and the LO has the long points. Aside from that I am not seeing a difference.

I have survived the last 22 years without plastic beyond bank debit cards in my pocket. No need to put any credit cards in the pocket now. The $85 Cashback (I got the sales pitch for their card at the checkout :) ) Just ain't something that interest me and well I don't have to worry about not carrying a balance if there is no balance, just my personal opinion.

After some research the Lincoln Outfitter Brand is owned by RK Holdings LLP. and a Trademark of RK Holdings LLP. The Meat Grinders, Mixers and many of the add ons are LEM's Designs and Specs and Made at the same Chinese factory as LEM with the slightly different cosmetic features than the LEM Brand but essentially identical and all parts and add ons interchangeable. So basically LEM with the RK inhouse name on them :) I did notice that on one of the spare grinder plates I bought that it has LEM stamped on the plate.

Thank you. Good to know so if my LEM stuff needs parts or I want an accessory RK stuff will fit.
