...for a friend. I'm betting one of you Monkeys will just know (as is usually the case when I have a question). Anyone know anything about where we might find: 30-03 or 256 Newton? Brass, bullets, anything! Let me know please.
M1903 Springfield - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia You want ammo label 30-06 if it's a Springfield 03 rifle. Can't help with the Newton round.
Nope, you are ALL wrong.... There was a short lived cartridge called the 30-03. It was designed to replace the 30-40 Krag, but was soon outclassed by the 30-06 round. .30-03 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Winchester 1895 .30-03 Government caliber rifle. (W4399) - Collectors Firearms 1903 and a few other places, that showed up in Bing..... Looks like one could might just make the Brass, from 30-06 Brass, or 270 Brass... and any 30 Calibre Projectile would work. ....
can't help with the 30-03 round but for the 256 you might want to try old western scrounger.com, they are a good source for obsolete and hard to find brass. I always thought that a 30-06 was the same as a 30-03 but with a different bullet.....hmmm.
