I'd love to see some new gear reviews.

So much so, that I have a pair of $25 Amazon cards for the top two reviews.
Post to the main section - Functional Gear & Equipment

    What am I looking for?
Looking for detail - how have you used the (device name goes here)
Photos - too many is not a thing... more pics is more better
Source of the (device) - to help folks find one for their use...
Any videos showing the (device) in use or related maintenance/rebuild/operation are always a plus
Today, seems like everything is a Barbie doll, so show/list accessories if any are available..

Take the time to tell a story, explain why the wizzo is the thing to use and so on.

I'll announces the 'winners' EOM May.

    Any takers?

    (this was coordinated w/Mods)

Sure thing! In fact I have been asked recently here and else where about this, so I think it's a great time to do a review and recommendations of this!

I have always rocked a shoulder holster/ combat rig which allows me to carry a full size double stack 1911 pistol and 2 spare mags, and I can carry totally concealed with out issues! I discovered Alien Gear Shape Shifter Shoulder rigs, and found them to be the very best rig I have ever worn! They are super adjustable in ways no other could ever be, and this has allowed me to fine tune for comfort and accessibility like no other! I took me several weeks of trial and error to get the tune just right, but DAMN, this thing is amazing, and the price was super reasonable! It's made of good quality leather, uses really good hardware and a combo of high impact, long wear plastics to really make a serious duty rig. so much so that several of my friends are now using these holster rigs and loving them! Will add photos in a bit, your gonna have questions and I think some photos will answer them better then words, and besides, GUN PORN, so stand by!

I have and have heavily used an Uncle Mike's shoulder holster to carry a 357 while wandering in the woods. Very adustable, very secure, definitely NOT a personal protection item unless you think something is looking at you as food on your wandering. Fast draw isn't going to happen. But if you are scrambling up and down slopes and falling over logs on the trail, you will not loose the piece.
Excellent service from the factory when I lost a couple Chicago bolts, replaced nearly instantly after I called them.

    Sure.

First is the Milwaukee Hatchet, it never leaves the Bota and is more handy than you might think.

Second is the rebuild in process of a ZERSOFT Water softner, long out of production but new parts still avaliable.

    Rebuild to start soon.

    My review.

This item is exactly what I needed during the recent "off time" of the CCP fiasco.

Chain is multi toothed and of a full size chainsaw but with extra cutting teeth.

As in all electric tools the operator must be aware of not only safety but the Crowbar circuit used to prevent jerking and damage to the tool by the uninitiated. This is a circuit used to halt the tool when over loaded and a complaint by many users of electric tools but a useful circuit since its invention. Just call it a protection device used for years in power supplies in all types of equipment.

The saw at first seems unhandy but part of that is the unusual ergonomic controls. This saw pretty much demands you use both hands in a safe manner and is not the usual one hand grasp.

It does work great when you study it a bit and use it as described. "Two Hands, mind engaged, don't force it let the chain do the work."

Battery powered and a decent run time for the job at hand, I cut down all these trees in about 1 hour with no recharge. As you will see the 3 inch size limit is only a suggestion.

    <insert trees laying on ground>

    Best use?
Tight spaces even next to solid objects or other trees you want to save.
Next to wire fence that would be real risky with other chain saws.
Handy as can be never let it get wet as the battery will fry.
The trigger is easy to get use to in a slow crawl cutting use.

    Worth every dime.

Retention is super positive, you cannot accidentally release it, and it takes a positive motion to release it during the draw, otherwise it ain't coming out! I was a little leary of having such a catch, but once I had it tuned, I'm sold and I highly recommend these to any one needing a high quality shoulder rig, especially if you like to carry a full size combat type pistol like I do!

    PXL_20210416_223809743.
As you can see, it has a manual trigger lock that engages the pistols trigger loop and locks on super secure, and once you get it adjusted properly, it's lightning quick on the draw as your hand naturally hits the the release trigger!

Only caveat I have here, I had to trim the actual holster a little to clear my Match type rear sight, otherwise it was a perfect fit! It also completely covers the muzzle end and thus prevents lint and other schmutz from forming in and around the muzzle and front sight!

I got an osprey 9 silencer. But I neglect to get the thread adapter piston thingy in the 13 months I was waiting to receive permission from the state.
Did you want those on here or in their own posts?
