Not enough cash to get that new shootin' iron or a bunch of MagPuls? Had to trot Nelson back out again over this one: Man Sells Junk Guns To Buy-Back Program, Buys New Gun With Cash "... YouTuber Royal Nonesuch made a quick $300 by taking 3 firearms that he’d built out of scrap and selling them back to the state of Missouri. He described two of the pipe guns as the ‘crappiest guns I’ve ever made’ but was still able to successfully sell them off to the program. ..." YT took down Nonesuch's video for "blah, blah, we only support the liberal agenda" reasons, but once it's out it's forever, so here's a re-posting:
Royal rocks. He has posted a lot of videos, all worth watching. On of the ones I like best is about the four (4!) 12-ga slamfire shotguns he built into a chest-mounted rig, all of which could be (legally) fired at the same time. He calls it The Defibrillator. He also did a video which shows how amazing strong black iron pipe is when used as the barrel of a slamfire shotgun.
I got a piece of bent re-bar and a pipe, maybe carve up a chunk of wood and cash it in! Sounds like a plan!
Some of these foolish people will by toy guns, and all of them will buy stolen guns. I remember a news story from years ago, it seems that there was a "gun buy back" program that was paying $20 per gun and there was a guy (or guys) on the street offering much more depending on the gun. Guess who bought more guns that day!
People are getting wise to this. Take a look at this screenshot, it was a buyback that had taken place. Look closely at the contents, and tell me if the streets were made safer.
Looks like somebody bought themselves a fiberglass tube from the local mil surplus store. It also happened here a few years back and the local reporters got all excited. And then they found it was a spent one time use mortar launcher....
Snookered the Cops and the GOOD Deed Doers.... $500 for a Spent-one time Launch Tube... Where can I find these guys... I could buy a REALLY NICE NEW Kenwood TS-890 with a few of those
Usually it's a spent AT-4 anti tank missile launcher - I was mistaken about the mortar tubes. They look scary but they are about as dangerous as an ABS drain pipe: Don't Fret About The Rocket Launchers That Keep Turning Up At Gun Buybacks
