Body Language - Hand to face gestures
The Nose Touch - In essence, the nose touch gesture is a sophisticated, disguised version of the mouth guard gesture. It may consist of several light rubs below the nose or it may be one quick, almost imperceptible touch. Like the mouth guard gesture, it can be used both by the speaker to disguise his own deceit and by the listener who doubts the speaker’s words.
The Eye Rub - 'See no evil' says the wise monkey, and this gesture is the brain's attempt to block out the deceit, doubt or lie that it sees or to avoid having to look at the face of the person to whom he is telling the lie. Men usually rub their eyes vigorously and if the lie is a big one they will often look away, normally towards the floor. Women use a small, gentle rubbing motion just below the eye, either because they have been brought up to avoid making robust gestures, or to avoid smudging make-up. They also avoid a listener’s gaze by looking at the ceiling.
Signs of Lying in Body Language - Psychologia
Touching One’s Nose
Among the most common signs of lying is the nose touch. It seems that the nose touch is connected to the original mouth covering gesture that is so obvious in children. Because adults are more conscious about body signs that they are displaying, the hand is quickly pulled away from the mouth, which results in a quick nose touching gesture.
You can tell the difference between a “normal” nose itch, and a nose touch that is from the signs of lying – the simple itch will be satisfied with rubbing or scratching, but won’t be satisfied with just a light touch, and this is what happens when the person is lying.
Once again, if the speaker is the one who displays the nose touch gesture, it means he could be lying. If it is the listener who does it, then he could simply doubt what he is hearing.
Looking down/left is creating thought. Looking down/right is remembering. ?
Ahhh, who cares.
if I remember correctly it is looking UP and left or right. (as if plucking an image from memory) Also the pupil dilates when seeing or thinking pleasure, shrinks when angry, scared, or lying. hands and feet change temp depending upon stress levels, and cold sweats on forehead, forearms, and palms are common indicators as well.
defiance is often shown by crossed arms, interlocked fingers indicates agitation (if I remember correctly) and chewing hair can be a sign of mental illness......just to name a few.
Separate names with a comma.
