Meals of the Depression

I fricken love hot dogs and beans!
And I'm with @Seacowboys
It looks like a grocery list.
Granted, some i'm not going to deliberately try like oatmeal and lard, lard sandwiches or road kill but if'n one is hungry enough.

 

Lard makes the best pie crust- IMO

I am going to make the fried potatoes and hot dogs. Quick, simple and a total kid meal.

 

That's the ONLY way to make a good crust.

 

dice up spam hot dogs and some onions and serve it like a fried rice ... its really good...

I guess theye didint have potted meat or vienna sausage during the depression ....

 

Ate most of those things as a kid in the 60's. I was in my 30's before I realized we were poor then - we didn't have television to make us think we needed more than we really did. I still love Spam. There, I said it! My name is 3M-TA3 and I'm a Spamaholic...
