Media bias and spin are both closely tied together and have been, on steroids, since they killed our President in 1963. Our "government" is a huge corporation, it relies on wars and conflict to generated employment making band-aids for everything that is injured, except for our Liberty. I am not a political person, do not support many political agendas, will speak loudly and forcefully against those that I believe harmful. I respect the rights to every man to have an opinion, that does not mean that I respect his opinion, some folks are just a special kind of stupid, but that's their right. We defeated a socialist agenda that was bleeding us to death, now is the time to begin rebuilding a system that allows us to further our preservation of Liberty, not to take goose-stepping lessons. and since the United States has a place in the power and economic structure of the rest of the entire world, not to mention, the ability to wipe them off the globe, I am pretty damned sure that the rest of the world does have a dog in this fight.

I think if he misinterpreted, it must be due to that absence of a sarcasm font...since the post itself says exactly what he objected to...and his response was no more an attack than the post to which he responded. Like him, I am not a mind reader, so I can only interpret what the posted words mean in English. Is it too much to ask that opinions be, if not separated from "News", at least labeled as such? "Journalists" get plenty of protections as supposed purveyors of actual news...as such they should be held to some such separation or they should have the same limitations with regard to libel as a private citizen when they wander into opinion and present it as fact.

Medicare has been gutted for those of us not eligible to suck the free government tit. Deductibles, co insurance, supplemental insurances, not covering dental, hearing aids, eye glasses, etc and my free medical care costs more than I paid for private insurance 10 years ago. Media used to tell you their biases, paper at home in Red Wing Minn when I was a kid was the "Daily Republican Eagle" and they made no bones about. New Hampshire still has "Foster's Democrat" paper and the Manchester "Union Leader" never let you doubt for an instant that they were a conservative Republican paper. It is when they claim to be "unbiased" and "news" that I have problems. While I know that Trump has made some money in business and some of it while legal, might not be the way I would wish, he seems to be trying to bring things under control and unlike several of our recent presidents he has actually worked and thought about things in order to make a buck. He does not follow the conventional political policies, and given the results of the last few leaders who were experts in that field, it may well be something we should at least try. We are all on the same boat, its a long way from shore, and fighting over who is going to be Captain and which way to go may well end up destroying us all.
