Merry Christmas, Friends!

It's the holiday season, the perfect reason
to send all of my love to you.
Here's hoping you're happy and, of course, that you're healthy
and that all of your wishes come true.

If I had a wish I could grant, 'twoud be this:
That all people would have Good Will;
To all of our brothers, our sisters and mothers
and that all our transgressions be still.

It's easy to forget our daily strife when holiday decor fills our life
and children's smiles are abound.
That it just takes a minute, and our heart, with love in it,
to others is easily found.

"Tis the time of year (at least around here)
When people are nice (seems to me)
Saying "Hello" to a stranger, forgetting the danger,
Is something I’m happy to see.

My wish for you (oh, I hope it comes true)
Is that around you this spirit will stay
It seems quite a shame (I’m not sure who’s to blame)
The friendliness is saved for holidays.

For the smile on your face should not be replaced
By relief when the season is done
Keep in mind:
Life is short;
stay in good report;
and don’t be afraid to have fun.
